The trip to Stratford on Thursday 17th May 2018.

We left wellington about 9-15 am  and after a relaxed journey we arrived at Anne Hathaway's cottage about 10-30am

it has 500 years of history,   Anne the wife of William Shakespeare she grew up and lived here for many years

The Hathaway's lived here from the mid 1500's to the early 1900's,  To-day there is nine acre's of garden's , orchards and a woodland to enjoy,  Inside the Cottage we enjoyed the object's and furnishings and the personal artefacts.

We then Traveled the short distance to Stratford the Birthplace of William Shakespere and home to the RSC, The Wisterias were breath- taking,  we spent the afternoon in Stratford before heading back to Wellington  The weather was warm and dry.

Thanks goes to Sue Blundell who organised the trip so well.
